No family should face their child's life-threatening illness alone. This Christmas, help provide essential support for a child like Eve and their family.
Please donate now.
From the moment Eve was born, she struggled to breathe. Her mum, Georgie, held her newborn baby for just ten seconds before she was taken away for urgent treatment. The next 24 hours were terrifying.
Georgie and her husband Shaun went from tears of joy at their baby’s arrival, to fear they were going to lose her. Eve has a condition that’s so rare it doesn’t have a precise name—there’s no cure or treatment plan.
Eve, who is now 18 months old, has been in and out of hospital all her life and requires oxygen 24/7. As a family, they live day-to-day, trying to make each day as special as possible. The future is uncertain.
COVID-19 has made everyday life harder still. Eve is extremely vulnerable to the virus and Georgie and Shaun have been shielding her. Caring for a child like Eve is extremely demanding, physically and emotionally. No family should face it alone. With your support this Christmas, you could help us reach out to a child like Eve and their family when they need us most.
With a gift this Christmas, you can help us:
- Support a family and offer free counselling that’s tailored to their individual needs.
- Provide a child with a music, art and physiotherapy session, free of charge. You’ll help them feel comfortable physically and emotionally, express their emotions, explore their creativity and find joy.
- Offer 24-hour respite care and end-of-life care at Victoria’s only children’s hospice.
Please give as generously as you can and help a child like Eve and their family at every stage of their journey.
